だんだんと蒸し暑くなってきましたね！

今回は熱帯夜が寝苦しい理由を簡単に説明します。
メカニズムを理解して、健康的に眠る対策をしましょう！
まず理解しておいてほしいのは、「人は眠るときに体温が下がる」ということです。
逆に言うと「体温が下がらないとなかなか眠れない」のです。
人間は体温を下げるために、血管と皮膚を通して外に熱を逃がしていきます。
しかし、外気温が高い状態では熱が外に逃げていきません。
だから、夏場は体温が下がりにくく、眠りに入りにくいのです。
夏は他の季節に比べ、睡眠の質が悪くなるのは、様々なデータから分かっています。
では、どうすればよいか？
対策の立て方は色々ありますが、大きく分けて次の３つです。
①睡眠環境が暑くならないようにする。
日中、窓に遮光カーテンをつけたり、簾やよしずを用いたりして寝室の温度上昇を防ぎましょう。
緑のカーテンもいいかもしれません。最近の家は断熱性が高いため、昼間気温が上昇してしまうと
なかなか夜間も温度が下がりません。
②体を冷やす工夫をする。
人工的な方法としては、エアコン、扇風機。自然な方法としては汗の蒸発による熱の放出。
エアコンだけに頼ってしまうと、体調に悪影響があり「汗」という自然の力も弱くなってしまうので
できれば、通気性のよい寝具を利用して適度にかいた汗が、うまく蒸発出来るような工夫を
することが大切です。エアコンの設定温度は２６度を目安として、タイマーで時間を調整しましょう。
③早寝早起きをする。
当たり前のことですが、特に夏場は早い時間に太陽が昇り気温が上昇するので、
日の出とともに起きるという生活が理想的です。冬場より１～２時間早く起きる生活を心掛けて
みてはいかがでしょうか。
