冬の睡眠について [その他]
たまには睡眠のことも書いてみます。
日本において、秋から冬にかけてはとても気持ちよく眠れる季節です。
データ的にみても夏は睡眠の質が落ちるのに対し、冬の睡眠の質は高く安定します。
原因を確定するのは難しいですが、外気温が低く、体からの熱の放出がスムーズに行われるからだと
私は考えています。
原因はともかくとして、よく眠れる季節なのですから、よく寝るべきだと思います。
私の身近でもこの時期になると「眠くてしょうがない」という声をよく聞きます。
中には体のどこかが悪いのでは？と心配されている方もいますが、
とても自然なことなので、体の声に逆らわずにゆっくり寝るべきでしょう。
きっと夏の間、暑さや睡眠不足で溜まった疲れを癒そうとしているのだと思います。
さて、よく眠れる冬の季節ですが、眠り中の不安は当然あります。
それは、「冷え」と「乾燥」です。
安眠ということばが、安心して眠ることであるように、不安を抱えている状態では
よい眠りは取れません。
冬の睡眠でも「冷え」と「乾燥」に対して不安を抱えている状態では、安眠することはできません。
冷えは万病の元です。寝ている間にしっかりと保温性のある寝具を使っていないと
どんどん体の熱が逃げ、体が冷え切ってしまうことになります。
保温性が高く、肌触りも暖かな寝具を使うことで、「体が冷えない」という安心感を感じ、
ゆっくりと眠ることが出来ます。
人は体の大部分が水分で出来ているため、乾燥も大敵です。
乾燥すると体の表面から水分が逃げ、潤いを失った状態では様々な問題が起きます。
ノドの乾燥により、風邪をひきやすくなることもその一つです。
起きている間であれば適度は水分補給を行えますが、寝ている間はマスクをしたり
加湿器で環境湿度を上げるなどの工夫が必要です。
冬はよく眠れる季節ですから、環境作りに気を配り
